Interactive Old School Panoramic Maps of Texas
Long, long, long before the launch of GoogleEarth, illustrators were producing panoramic bird's-eye maps of American cities, including these found on the Amon Carter Museum Website. The curators of this online exhibit have posted a collection of more than fifty nineteenth century maps of various Texas cities in interactive flash format. Visitors can zoom in on these maps to check out cool little details that include buildings, trains, carriages, riverboats, and people at work and play.
